TROPWAV: Algorithm to help track Waves in the trades   Access here

Developed based on meeting with Andrew Levine (NHC-TAFB) on 8 September 2023. Fields (units to be defined):
(1) Shades: Potential vorticity averaged in the isentropic levels of 315 and 320K;
(2) Curvature component of positive relative vorticity, averaged in the 850-700 hPa levels;
(3) EGDI in red countours. EGDI > 25 and =45 in thin and thick contours;
(4) Winds averaged on the 850-700 hPa Layer.

OTRP: Algorithm to help track Waves in the trades   Access here

Developed with Gabriela Chinchilla (IMN), finalized on 25 January 2023. Fields (units to be defined):
(1) Shades: EGDI
(2) Black contours: Relative vorticity averaged in the 850-700-600 hPa levels, solid for positive, dashed for negative;
(3) Squares: Moisture convergence in the 950-700 hPa Layer
(4) Winds averaged on the 850-700-600 hPa Layer.
