Snow will fall across the Inter-mountain West -- increasingly in
and near the Northern Continental Divide -- through Wednesday.
Snowfall totals are forecast to reach 1-2 feet locally. The low
pressure system has reached peak intensity and should be in the
process of weakening while drifting northwestward. Another
weather threat will be the high winds: 40-60 mph gusts will be
possible, particularly on the back/west side of the cyclone. This
includes high fire weather risks. Additionally, an anomalously
cool air mass for this time of the year has prompted freeze
watches for many areas, so cold weather preparations should take
place.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1100 PM EDT. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
