...Atmospheric river to continue into the Pacific Northwest into
tonight...

Flood warnings, watches, and advisories are in effect for portions
of western Washington, western Oregon, and far northwest
California.

At 600 AM PST...A slow-moving frontal boundary is draped southwest
to northeast across the Pacific Northwest. Regional Doppler radars
are indicating widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall
focusing along the surface boundary from far northwest California
and western Oregon into central and eastern Washington and
northern Idaho. Some wind gusts upwards of 40 mph have also been
observed across portions of the Cascades in western Washington and
western Oregon.

The ongoing atmospheric river should taper off this afternoon as
the Pacific cold front slowly moves inland. Although the heaviest
rainfall has already occurred with this event, an additional 1 to
3 inches of rainfall is expected, with locally higher amounts.
This will maintain an excessive rainfall threat today across
western Oregon and northwest California given saturated soils in
the area owing to recent heavy rainfall. For more information
