Heavy snow will continue across the central/southern Rockies
tonight, while expanding eastward into the adjacent High Plains
through Saturday morning. Additional snowfall of 6 to 12 inches is
expected within the higher terrain of Colorado into northern New
Mexico through Saturday. Farther east into the central Plains,
additional snowfall accumulations of 1-3 inches are expected in
Nebraska and there is a moderate chance (40-60%) of exceeding 6
inches of snow in south-central Kansas by Sunday morning. Embedded
bands of heavy snow with rates exceeding 1"/hr are expected at
times across Kansas during the day on Saturday which when combined
with gusty winds will cause hazardous travel due to snow
covered/slippery roads and reduced visibility. Thanksgiving
travelers should exercise caution and plan ahead before driving
through affected areas.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 800 AM MST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
