today after slamming South Florida Wednesday...

Flood Watches are in effect for eastern parts of Central and South
Florida.

High Wind Warnings are in effect for the Atlantic Coast in South
Florida.

Wind Advisories are in effect for parts of South Florida and the
Atlantic Coast in Central Florida.

Storm Warnings are in effect for parts of the South Florida
Atlantic waters.

Gale Warnings are in effect for most of the Atlantic waters off
the coast of Florida.

Coastal Flood Advisories are in effect for much of the Atlantic
Coast and the St Johns River in Florida.

At 900 AM EDT...A slow moving non-tropical low was positioned over
the Atlantic waters just offshore of South Florida. This low is
moving along a frontal boundary that stretches from the Gulf of
Mexico across the Florida Straits to the northern Bahamas. Heavy
rain has fallen across South Florida over the past 24 hours, and
National Weather Service Doppler radar shows moderate showers
spreading north this morning across the Florida peninsula. In
addition to heavy rainfall, the tight pressure gradient
surrounding the low has resulted in strong gusty winds across
Florida and the Atlantic waters.

Heavy rain and strong winds are forecast to spread into Central
Florida today as the low moves slowly north along the east coast
of Florida. Conditions will gradually improve on Friday as the low
pulls away from the Florida peninsula to the northeast.
