Great Basin today and portions of the Northern Rockies today as
Post-Tropical Cyclone Hilary's tracks north...
High Wind Warnings extend across portions of the Great Basin and
Northern Rockies.
Flash Flood Warnings are in place across portions of Southern
California.
Flood Watches extend across Southern California northward into the
Great Basin and interior Northwest.

At 700 AM PDT...Latest surface observations and regional radar
mosaic show widespread moderate to heavy rainfall has shifted
northward into the Great Basin and Northern Rockies, although
lingering shower activity is noted across Arizona and Southern
California. The expansive shield of rainfall remains tied to a
plume of tropical moisture associated with Post-Tropical Cyclone
Hilary, analyzed with a position of 40.6N, 118.0W at 5AM PDT.
Note: rainfall observations for California and Arizona were
collected beginning this Friday at 7 AM PDT, while observations
over Nevada were collected starting Saturday at 7 AM PDT.

Post-Tropical Cyclone Hilary is forecast to continue its track
north into the heart of the Great Basin today, spreading heavy
rainfall and high wind gusts throughout the West on Monday.
Accordingly, isolated to scattered instances of flash flooding are
possible today across much of the West, where a Slight Risk of
Excessive Rainfall is in effect. For more information regarding

Rainfall impacts, refer to the Weather Prediction Center at
wpc.ncep.noaa.gov.
