...Significant flooding and winter storm conditions continue
across central California and western Nevada...
Numerous Flood Watches, Flood Warnings and Flash Flood Warnings
are in effect across northern and central California and western
Nevada.
Avalanche Warnings are in effect for portions of the Eastern
Sierra in Mono and Inyo Counties and the Greater Lake Tahoe area.
Several Winter Storm Warnings are in effect across northern
California and along the Sierra Nevada range.
High Wind warnings and Wind Advisories are in effect for Southern
California and Nevada.

At 600 PM PST...Surface observations and regional radar mosaic
imagery depict scattered rainfall and mountain snow snow across
the Sacramento Valley, nosing into Southern California with the
main atmospheric river plume. This activity was occurring along
and south of an east-west oriented frontal boundary, which
separates cold and dry air to the north, from cool, moist Pacific
flow on the warm side of the front. Coverage of the rain across
central California has lessened in the past few hours, however
decent rates are still occurring.

Although precipitation rates are generally on a downward trend,
heavy rain and heavy snow at higher elevations will persist this
evening across portions of California and Nevada. A Moderate Risk
of Excessive Rainfall remain in effect through tomorrow morning
for the San Joaquin Valley, foothills of the Central California
Sierras, the Central CA Coast, and Southern California
