At 900 AM EST...The record breaking low-pressure center from
yesterday continued to fill as it occludes over Lake Erie.
Meanwhile, a 989 mb coastal low just offshore Long Island is
rapidly deepening along the triple-point of the system. On the
northern flank of the developing coastal low, surface observations
and regional radar imagery depict a shield of moderate to heavy
snowfall over the Interior Northeast and New England, with a
transition to rainfall noted along the coastline where
temperatures are above freezing. Gusty winds also continued in the
wake of the system over the Appalachians.

Moderate to locally heavy snow will continue to focus over New
England through tomorrow, before the coastal low pulls away to sea
later tonight. Until then, expect moderate disruptuons to travel
and daily life over New England from the snowfall as an additional
6-8 inches is expected by tomorrow morning.
