Moderate snow and mixed precipitation will continue to impact the
Midwest and Ohio Valley as the occluded system moves eastward
before subsiding, with an additonal 2-4 inches of snow likely.
Later this afternoon, a frontal wave is forecast to develop on the
Carolina coast and intensify into a full-fledged Nor-easter as it
lifts north. Moderate snowfall accumulations of 4-6 inches and up
to .10 inch of freezing rain are likely from southern Virginia up
to Washington D.C. Further north, heavy snowfall is forecast to
develop from Pennsylvania into Massachusetts tonight and Monday,
with 12-18 inches of snow possible, before lifting into upper New
England Tuesday. High wind combined with heavy snowfall will make
for treacherous travel conditions along the I-95 corridor from
Pennsylvania into Maine, where Major Impacts are forecast on the
Winter Storm Severity Index. Moreover, coastal innudation and
beach erosion is likely Monday into Tuesday along the coast from
Delaware into New York.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 1000 AM EST Mon Feb 01 2021. Please refer to your local
National Weather Service office for additional information on this
event.
