The surface low is expected to continue its movement
east-northeast into Northern Illinois and Wisconsin over the next
12 hours with continuing strong southerly flow ahead of the storm
supporting the heavy snow band across Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Snow has begun to wind down in South Dakota and Nebraska, where an
additional 2-4 inches of snow could fall in the extreme eastern
parts of these states. Portions of southern Minnesota and
Wisconsin, where the axis of heaviest snow will continue could see
an additional 6-10 inches of snow, with higher amounts possible in
Wisconsin. On the backside of this system, strong gusty winds
have developed on the leeward side of the Rockies, where High Wind
Warnings are currently in effect. Blowing snow as a result of
recent accumulations and strong winds are also a concern in
southern Wyoming, where a Blizzard Warning is in effect. The gusty
winds also support a fire danger where Red Flag Warnings are in
place across northern Texas.

The next Storm Summary will be issued by the Weather Prediction
Center at 900 AM CST. Please refer to your local National Weather
Service office for additional information on this event.
