Northern High Plains as strong low pressure pulls away to the
northeast...
Winter Storm Warnings extend along Northeast Montana, Southwest
North Dakota, Northwest South Dakota, and Northeast Wyoming.
A Winter Weather Advisory resides over far Northeast Montana and
Northwest North Dakota.
A High Wind Warning stretches from Northeast Colorado into
West-Central South Dakota.
A Wind Advisory extends from West-Central South Dakota through
North Dakota to the International Border.

At 400 PM EDT...A deepening area of low pressure was analyzed over
Central South Dakota, generally moving northeast. An occluded
front extended southeast out of the low center, connecting to a
triple point over Central Iowa. Meanwhile, a draped warm front
north of the low center continued to pivot northwestward through
North Dakota. Across the Northern Plains, gusty winds were
reported in response to the deepening low pressure system.
National Weather Service Doppler Radar detected showers and
thunderstorms north of the low center in the Northern Plains, with
reports of light to moderate snow noted over the region.

The aforementioned low pressure system is forecast to continue a
northeast track into the Central Canadian provinces, ending the
chance of meaningful snowfall by tomorrow morning. Gusty winds are
expected to prevail through tonight, before relaxing tomorrow.
