...Heavy rain and gusty winds will continue over portions of the
Lower Mississippi Valley and Tennessee Valley tonight as Tropical
Depression Ida tracks northeast toward the Tennessee Valley...

Flash Flood Warnings are in effect for portions of extreme eastern
Louisiana, South-Central Mississippi, and extreme western Alabama.

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for portions of the Lower
Mississippi Valley, Southeast, Tennessee Valley, Lower Ohio
Valley, Central Appalachians, Mid-Atlantic, and southern New
England.

Flood Warnings are in effect for rivers throughout eastern
Louisiana, Mississippi, western Alabama, and the extreme western
Florida Panhandle.

At 1000 PM EDT...National Weather Service Doppler RADAR and
surface observations detected heavy rainfall around T.D. Ida 
located north and east of the circulation over Northeast
Mississippi, Alabama, western Florida Panhandle, West-Central
Tennessee, and western Kentucky. Below are preliminary rainfall
and wind observations associated with Tropical Depression Ida. Due
to power outages and damage some stations are not reporting
rainfall from the highest impacted areas. Additionally, strong
winds from Ida may have led to under-reporting of rainfall in the
areas of strongest winds. For more information regarding the
