...Heavy rain and gusty winds associated with Tropical Depression
Fred continue over northeastern Alabama, northern Georgia, and the
Southern Appalachians...

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for portions of north-central
Georgia.

Flash Flood Watches are in effect for portions of northern
Georgia, the western Carolinas, eastern Tennessee, southwestern
Virginia, far east Kentucky and far south West Virginia.

Flood Warnings are in effect for the French Broad River in western
North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, creeks in north-central
Georgia, and multiple rivers in northern and western Florida.

Flood Advisories are in effect for portions of North Carolina and
southwestern Virginia.

At 1000 AM EDT...National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated
widespread moderate to heavy rain around Tropical Depression Fred
across northeastern Alabama and northern Georgia. Rainfall
associated with this system has been observed to extend well
beyond the circulation center in rainbands extending as far out as
the coastal Carolinas and the Central Appalachians. Generally
moderate winds between 10 and 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to
25 miles per hour, were also observed. Below are preliminary
