PRESSURE OF 987 MB...29.15 INCHES...WAS STRENGTHENING RAPIDLY EAST
OF NEW JERSEY. SURFACE OBSERVATIONS AND DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WAS FALLING FROM THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS
INTO THE LOWER GREAT LAKES AS WELL AS PARTS OF THE NORTHERN
APPALACHIANS. IN ADDITION...LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL WAS
OBSERVED FROM PARTS OF DELAWARE TO NORTHERN MASSACHUSETTS. WIND
GUSTS ALONG THE APPALACHIANS WERE REPORTING UP TO 60 MPH...WHILE
OTHER OBSERVATIONS AT LOWER ELEVATIONS WERE REPORTING WIND GUSTS

PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL ESPECIALLY ALONG COASTAL
MASSACHUSETTS...WHERE UPWARDS OF 5 INCHES...AND LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS...OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED. IN ADDITION...HEAVY SNOWFALL
WILL IMPACT AREAS FROM NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA INTO UPSTATE NEW
YORK. SNOWFALL TOTALS OF 10 TO 12 INCHES...WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS UP
TO 15 INCHES ESPECIALLY FROM WESTERN NEW YORK INTO THE CATSKILLS.
WIND GUSTS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE THROUGHOUT THE DAY AND INTO
FRIDAY NIGHT. REGIONS SUCH AS THE MID-ATLANTIC AND PARTS OF THE
NORTHEAST CAN EXPECT WIND GUSTS UP TO 70 MPH...AND AREAS SUCH AS
COASTAL MASSACHUSETTS CAN EXPECT WIND GUSTS UP TO 75 MPH.
