AT 600 AM PST...THE DEEP UPPER LEVEL TROF HAS ELONGATED NORTH TO
SOUTH WAS CROSSING CENTRAL AND EASTERN CALIFORNIA INTO NEVADA AND
WESTERN ARIZONA. A FEW WEAK SURFACE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS REMAIN
NEAR THE NORTH SAN FRANCISCO BAY AS WELL AS NEAR THE CHANNEL
ISLANDS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THE MAIN SURFACE LOW HAS TRACKED
INTO THE LAKE TAHOE VICINITY WITH A CENTRAL PRESSURE OF 994
MB...29.35 INCHES AND CONTINUES TO DRIFT EASTWARD INTO THE GREAT
BASIN WITH A FRONTAL ZONE DRAPED SOUTHWARD INTO THE LOWER COLORADO
RIVER VALLEY. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND SURFACE
OBSERVATIONS INDICATED THE MOST INTENSE RAIN SHOWERS EXTEND FROM
THE SEA OF CORTEZ NORTH THROUGH THE LAS VEGAS NEVADA METRO.
ISOLATED TO SCATTERED BANDS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SHOWERS LINGER
ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. AT THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS...PRECIPITATION WAS IN THE FORM OF SNOW ALONG THE
SIERRA NEVADA AS WELL AS THE TRANSVERSE RANGES REMAINS LIGHT AND
CONTINUES TO REDUCE WITH TIME.

WEAKENING EXPECTED ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN OF NEVADA WITH THE
TRAILING FRONT SCRAPING ACROSS ARIZONA BRINGING MODERATE TO
OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. THIS RAINFALL MAY REACH TOTALS OF 1
TO 2.5" AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO LEAD TO FLOODING AND RUNOFF
ISSUES ACROSS THE LOWER COLOR DO RIVER VALLEY INTO THE PHOENIX
METRO AS WELL AS THE LOWER FOOTHILLS OF THE MOGOLLON RIM. SNOW
SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE MOGOLLON
RIM TOWARD THE EASTERN ARIZONA MOUNTAINS WITH TOTALS EXPECTED IN
THE 4 TO 8" RANGE THROUGH SUNDAY.
