FRONTAL SYSTEM EXTENDED EASTWARD FROM THE LOW INTO THE WESTERN
ATLANTIC. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND SURFACE
OBSERVATIONS INDICATED THAT MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WAS FALLING IN
SOUTHERN MAINE, VERMONT, NEW HAMPSHIRE, AND WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS.
FARTHER SOUTH, RAIN WAS FALLING IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS,

BULK OF THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF BY SUNDAY MORNING,
THOUGH SOME SNOW SHOWERS COULD LINGER DURING THE DAY ON SUNDAY.
ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL OF 1 TO 3 INCHES IS EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT
FOR PORTIONS OF MASSACHUSETTS, VERMONT, NEW HAMPSHIRE, AND
SOUTHERN MAINE. THROUGH TONIGHT, ANOTHER HALF AN INCH OF RAIN,
WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS, IS FORECAST FOR EASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS, WHICH COULD EXACERBATE FLOODING. ADDITIONALLY,
STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE EVENING FOR PORTIONS OF THE
COASTAL NORTHEAST.
