ASSOCIATED SURFACE FRONTS ARE EDGING CLOSER TO THE WEST COAST. AT
100 AM PST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADARS AND SURFACE
OBSERVATIONS INDICATED WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING
ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF CALIFORNIA INTO SOUTHWESTERN OREGON.
MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WAS ALSO OBSERVED FARTHER TO THE NORTH
ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHERN OREGON AND WASHINGTON. THE MAJORITY
OF THE PRECIPITATION IS FALLING IN THE FORM OF RAIN. HOWEVER...IN
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE CASCADES AND SIERRA NEVADA...THE
PRECIPITATION WAS FALLING AS SNOW.

LEAST SUNDAY. SOME AREAS COULD RECEIVE STORM TOTAL RAINFALL OF 10
TO 12 INCHES IN THIS EVENT...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.
IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE CASCADES AND SIERRA MOUNTAINS...
SNOW TOTALS IN EXCESS OF A FOOT ARE LIKELY. ADDITIONALLY... GUSTY
WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION GIVEN THE STRONG
PRESSURE GRADIENT BETWEEN THE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE ROCKIES AND
THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM.
