MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO BRING MORE
HEAVY RAIN FOR THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND ESPECIALLY NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA THIS MORNING. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN CAN
BE EXPECTED. THERE MAY BE ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS...WHICH COULD
LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING ISSUES ON ALREADY SATURATED GROUND.
OVER THE CASCADES AND PARTS OF THE NORTHERN ROCKIES...AN
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 FEET OF SNOW...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL
BE POSSIBLE TODAY. AS THE FRONT PUSHES FARTHER INLAND...THE
COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OF THE PRECIPITATION SHOULD GRADUALLY
DECREASE AS THE DAY PROGRESSES. BY THURSDAY
MORNING...PRECIPITATION IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SHOULD END. IN THE
PACIFIC NORTHWEST HOWEVER...MOISTURE COULD LINGER INTO FRIDAY DUE
TO PERSISTENT ONSHORE FLOW.
THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL
PREDICTION CENTER AT 700 AM PST. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS
EVENT.
