...CENTRAL CALIFORNIA HEAVY RAINS MOVING INTO SOUTHERN
CALIFORNIA...
CURRENTLY... NOAA RADAR IS SHOWING A LARGE AREA OF PRECIPITATION
THAT PRIMARILY IMPACTS CENTRAL CALIFORNIA. OTHER SMALLER AREAS OF
PRECIPITATION ARE SCATTERED ACROSS THE WESTERN U.S.. THE LATEST
SURFACE ANALYSIS SHOWS THAT THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM HAS BEGAN TO
MOVE INLAND...BRINGING AN ABUNDANCE OF PACIFIC MOISTURE INTO
CALIFORNIA. THIS SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY EASTWARD
OVERNIGHT AND TOMORROW. THE HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION THROUGH MONDAY
IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE CURRNTLY IN EFFECT
FOR MOST OF CALIFORNIA AND WESTERN NEVADA. IN ADDITION...A FLOOD
WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE OREGON CITY AREA IN NORTHWEST OREGON.
HIGH WIND WARNINGS ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
WINTER STORM WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR THE SIERRA MOUNTAINS IN
CALIFORNIA AND THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA. HEAVY SNOW
WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA...AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL IDAHO. SNOW ADVISORIES
