Used official HPC precipitation analyses that were archived as paper copies
Each analysis was inspected and list was compiled of:
- the date when 100 mm or greater amounts were observed
- states affected by 100 mm or more during that day.
- The maximum amount analyzed on the map
- The approximate center of heaviest rainfall associated with the synoptic of mesoscale system,
- subjective comments about the type and scale of the event.
