The closed upper-level low stalled over the Southwest will support
precipitation chances through today, with snowfall for higher
elevation terrain/mountain ranges, and a mix of rain and snow for
lower elevations. Locally heavy snow will remain possible through
today for the higher elevation in New Mexico. Heavy snowfall rates
up to 2"/hr and gusty winds will bring some blowing snow and
reduced visibility, particularly for mountain passes, leading to
difficult to impossible travel conditions at times. Snow should
taper off across the Four Corners region and southern Rockies by
Monday.
This will be the last Storm Summary issued by the Weather
Prediction Center for this event. Please refer to your local
National Weather service office for additional information.
