THE ARCTIC FRONT WILL GRADUALLY MOVE EASTWARD TONIGHT AND
WEDNESDAY...BRINGING WITH IT LIGHT FREEZING RAIN ALONG THE GULF
COAST AND A SLOW MOVING BAND OF LIGHT SNOW STRETCHING FROM THE
SOUTHERN STATES TO NEW ENGLAND. THE STORM WILL PRODUCE SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATIONS OF AT LEAST 1 OR 2 INCHES IN MOST LOCATIONS FROM
NORTHERN GEORGIA TO CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA AND ALL OF NEW ENGLAND.
HEAVIER SNOW OF 3 TO 8 INCHES AND ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL
ACCOMPANY COASTAL LOW PRESSURE...WITH THE HEAVY SNOW FALLING FROM
NORTHERN PENNSYLVANIA TO MAINE. THIS INCLUDES BOSTON...BUT THE
HEAVIER TOTALS WILL LIKELY REMAIN JUST NORTH AND WEST OF NEW YORK
CITY. MEANWHILE...A DEVELOPING UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL ALSO ENHANCE
SNOWFALL OVER THE CAROLINAS AND SOUTHERN VIRGINIA WHERE AVERAGE
AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. GIVEN RECENT COLD
WEATHER...MUCH OF THE SNOW WILL STICK...IMPACTING TRAVEL THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.

THE NEXT STORM SUMMARY WILL BE ISSUED BY THE WEATHER PREDICTION
CENTER AT 400 AM EST. PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE OFFICE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS EVENT.
