Scattered light to moderate showers are forecast to impact parts
of California through Friday. There will be one more surge of
moisture moving south along the coast ahead of the frontal system
approaching from the Pacific, which will produce more widespread
moderate to locally heavy rainfall this afternoon through tonight.
This feature will move fairly quickly, limiting the risk of flash
flooding, but isolated instances of flash flooding will be
possible in coastal portions of central and southern California.
Additionally, this surge of moisture will produce one more round
of heavy snowfall in the Sierra Nevada and Transverse and
Peninsular Ranges, then snowfall will taper off on Thursday.
This will be the last Storm Summary issued by the Weather
Prediction Center for this event. Please refer to your local
National Weather service office for additional information.
