Conclusions and what is next?
There are marked differences in the frequency of 100-mm days over different parts of the country.
These differences can only be partly explained by the seasonal shift of moisture northward during the warm season
the companion paper investigates:
- the differences in the synoptic patterns and related fields between the regions for the various 100-mm days.
- and compares various parameters found for each 100-mm day event to the norms from a 30 year data base.
